Empire Garden is a spacious Dim Sum restaurant in a wonderful repurposed theater. The decor is very nice, and the dining hall is huge. It is a block from Chinatown station, and not much farther from Boylston station, at 690 Washington Street.
Food is brought around on carts, starting immediately after you sit down. I tried five or six dishes, and enjoyed every one of them. Be careful not to get carried away, though, as they come by frequently with new dishes and the food can pile up easily.
This is not a take-out place, but due to the generous servings and low prices, it is a great choice to eat with a group of friends. 8/10.
